Evidently this is where I was supposed to post my 'hello'... 
Nevertheless, hey everyone! My name is Kev David, and I've been RPing for quite some time now. I consider it a lot like creative writing, allowing a person to take on a persona for a little while in text. It makes for some pretty good stories.
I've played a lot of fantasy/medieval characters in my life, but very rarely a modern or future character. As I mentioned in my other post, I recently have had an interest in sci-fi stories, and made a character to use in an RP for a high-future plot. Problem is, I can't find a good running story to plunk her into.
Essentially the character parallels the T-1000 of Terminator 2 fame. On her Earth, man finally made the leap to space at the expense of the third World War and the destruction caused by great weapons of mass destruction. Of course a lot of the fighting was to be done by androids like herself, but eventually the bigger gun won out. Quite a few bombs and millions of deaths later, man reached out to space to get away from the planet they destroyed.
When talking about war, power, subterfuge and tactics are the keys to victory. Why send a human spy, when you can send an android that will act as the spy without fault? Insodoing, our government made super-spy androids that could mimick anyone and that was capable of infiltrating just about anywhere. The result was a liquid metal android made up of nanite technology, that worked as a body to compose the android.
In the case of my character, the android gets lost as a black market weapon, and becomes self-aware through an accident. If I were RPing here, I'd tailor her introduction to the story to correspond to how the story's going.
Once the android becomes sentient, it wants to understand its purpose and its role in life, the value of life, and later just become another member of society. Of course, the 'bot will have a lot of demons of the past, but that can be worked out.
I just wanna play her. Any suggestions?
