Trev Colton looked around the sabacc table. Of the five people participating in the game, 2 had already left. The three remaining players were him, Twi'lek smuggler Tal Noorkat and Bothan Zarkoth Saiga, formerly Zarkoth Saiga'lon of the Alon clan, before he was expelled from it for his unsavoury dealings with the Hutts. In exchange for his services, the Hutts had given him command of the "Nal Hutta's Star" casino, where this game was taking place.
Trev has had a decent night so far, he had made some earnings... not much, but it was the best streak of luck he had in the last two months. Still, it wasn't enough to help him repay his debts... so he had to push for more.
"Gentlemen, one more round?", Zarkoth inquired, with false courtesy in his voice.
"Zark, you know darn well that there are no gentlemen sitting in this table right now", Trev replied back with a smirk.
"No offence taken I hope", he added, turning to Noorkat.
"Of course not my good friend, we're all quite aware of the kind of scum we are", said the Twi'lek with a smile.
"Speak for yourself Tal, I happen to be part of one of the most aristocratic Bothan clans", Zarkoth said.
" Don't you mean, was a part?", Trev added quickly.
The Bothan looked at Trev warily and barely supressed a growl.
"Enough with the small talk! Are you in or out?"
"I'm in", Trev said and the Twi'lek also nodded in agreement.
"Well then, the game is on... gentlemen", said the Bothan with a smile that send chills to Trev's spine.
Maybe I shouldn't have made him angry... but if his judgement is clouded, I can win this hand and score big, Trev thought as Zarkoth started dealing the cards to them.
