General plot summary/setting: Welcome to Brightvale, a small city located about halfway between Metropolis and Gotham. Fairly typical for a city it's size, it has been without either supervillian or superhero presence for quite some time. All this seems like it may be about to change however, as several people have reported glimpses of what is believed to be Superman. After all, nobody else wears such a distinctive red and blue costume...
Characters: Mainly superheroes of course, but don't be afraid to play a villain. Actually, I'd kinda like it if someone did as it'd give us a real opponent to watch out for. And don't forget to have some kind of secret identity so you can run into people out of costume too.
This is set in a slightly modified version of the DCU, so mentions can be made to established superheroes/villians such as Batman or Wonder Woman or Lex Luthor. However, your character needs to be an original one. No playing Green Lantern or the Joker folks. (Being connected to one is fine though, as long as it isn't abused. It'd be a mentioned-in-passing type thing, no using it as an excuse to bring in the established character as a PC or something, ok?) Also, as stated above, give them a secret identity along with the superhero/villian persona, so that not every interaction has to be during a battle.
Name: E.C. Kent/Kum-El
Alter Ego: Kum-El (formerly known as Superkid)
Gender/Species: Male/Kryptonian
Age: 23
Appearance: Slightly under average height, with the build of a martial artist, blue eyes, brown hair, and a strong enough resemblance to his older brother to make it obvious they're family.
Powers and Abilities: Everything Superman has, though some arn't quite as strong or versatile since he's younger, and has thus spent less time under Earth's yellow sun.
Weaknesses: The big ones are Magic/the Supernatural, other people with superstrength and, of course, the real big one, kryptonite.
Background: E.C. was found by Clark when he saw his rocket land while on the way home from school. Thus, he was also taken in by the Kents. When his powers began to manifest themselves, at an even earlier age than his older brother's had, Clark helped him learn how to use them. E.C. greatly admires his brother, almost bordering on hero worship, so it was natural for him to follow him into both of his careers, making his debut as a hero while in late elementary school and majoring in journalism at Metropolis University. While at Met U he managed to get a part time job at the Daily Planet, both for the experience and to help pay for his college expenses. Now, almost half a year after graduation, he has been temporarily sent to Brightvale to help their branch of the Planet with their staffing problem. His new co-workers have had mixed reactions to this on account of his age, as most were expecting someone a bit older.
